Abstract
Gated Community is expanding rapidly throughout the world, including in Indonesia. Vacant land are built into a residency complete with a gate as their entry and exit access. The development of Gated Community grows along with the progress and influence of human lifestyle itself. In South Tangerang for example, a lot of Gated Communities are scattered both outside and inside the developer’s city area. Main benefits that are most recognized by the residents are the presence of privacy and security. This research discusses about the relationship between Gated Community and the pandemic that is currently happening (atau that the world is currently facing). This research wants to find out whether Gated Community can play a role in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. This research focuses on the perceptions of the community or residents of Gated Community surrounding the relationship between the COVID-19 pandemic and Gated Community being one of the methods in preventing the spread of COVID19.
