Abstract

Kerja profesi merupakan salah satu syarat untuk menempuh kelulusan. Melalui kerja profesi dapat memberikan gambaran secara nyata kepada praktikan mengenai dunia pekerjaan. Sejalan dengan program studi yang di pilih yaitu ilmu komunikasi, praktikan melaksanakan kerja profesi di Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat dan bergabung dalam bagian Si Humas. Humas adalah suatu komunikasi untuk menjembatani antara instansi dengan masyarakat. Di Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat, humas berfungsi untuk menjaga citra instansi dan sebagai komunikasi antara Polres dengan masyarakat untuk bekerjasama menjaga ketertiban dan keamanan di Jakarta Pusat. Praktikan melaksanakan kerja profesi selama tiga bulan bertugas sebagai PR writing, mempublikasikan ke website, mempersiapkan konferensi pers serta media relations dan melakukan dokumentasi kegiatan serta mengurus administrasi kehumasan. Tentunya, dalam kerja profesi ini praktikan dapat mengaplikasikan dan mendapatkan gambaran secara langsung mengenai pengetahuan yang didapatkan dari Universitas Pembangunan Jaya. The intern is one of the requirements to take graduation. Through the intern can provide a real picture to the intern about the world of work. In line with the chosen study program, namely communication science, the intern carries out the intern at the central Jakarta Metro Police and joins the Public Relations Section. Public relations is a communication to bridge between agencies and community. At the Central Jakarta Metro Police, public relations functions to maintain the image of the agency and as communication between the Police and the community to work together to maintain order and security in Central Jakarta. The intern carry out the intern for three mounts serving as PR Writing, publishing to the website, preparing press conferences and media relations, documenting activities and taking care public relations administration. Of course, in this professional work, the intern can apply and get a direct picture of the knowledge gained from Pembangunan Jaya University.
