Abstract

Indonesia is entering a demographic bonus where the millennial generation is more dominant than the previous generation. The characteristics of millennial employees lately are often the focus of research. During the industrial revolution 4.0, millennial employees are required to be able to have career adjustments to be more attached to work so that they are expected to make a positive contribution to the success of the organization. This study aims to determine the relationship between career adaptability and work engagement among millennial employees in Yogyakarta. The method of collecting data uses purposive sampling. Subjects in this study were 214 people with characteristics aged 20-39 years who lived in Yogyakarta, who had worked for at least one year. How to take the subject using a purposive sampling method. Data collection in this study uses a career adaptability scale and work engagement scale. The data analysis technique used is the product-moment correlation from Karl Pearson. Based on the results of data analysis obtained correlation coefficient (R) of 0.74 with p = 0,000 (p <0.01). These results indicate that there is a very significant positive relationship between career adaptability with work engagement among millennial employees living in Yogyakarta.
