Abstract

The library is a public space known for activities to borrow or read library materials. For some people, this activity is a boring activity and not very interesting to visit. So, to make people want to continue visiting the library and reading without feeling bored, it is necessary to have something interesting. The Jakarta Library is one of the public libraries in Jakarta which has an unusual concept where the library was created with the comfort of visitors in mind while providing attractiveness. Attraction So this makes the research objective to find out what attractions are created by the Jakarta Library. This research refers to two theories, namely the theory of space grouping adapted to SNI and Place Attractiveness. The method used in this research is using a descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews with the management and several visitors, distributing questionnaires, making observations by adjusting the floor plan given permission by the Jakarta Library management. The results of the research show that the attraction created by the Jakarta Library is a concept that was introduced after revitalization as a third space where unique facilities are provided such as privacy booths, broadcast booths, discussion booths that pay attention to visitors' needs and a reading area that is not boring because it faces the view of Ismail Park. marzuki and the supporting role of the use of non-festive materials and lights to create a comfortable and instagrammable atmosphere.
