Abstract
Donna Angelina Completed her undergraduated studies at the Product Design Department of Pelita Harapan University in 2004. In 2009, she continued her post-graduated studies in jewelry design at Kyungsung University, South Korea. Her solo exhibition was held in 2010 in Busan, South Koreo with the theme Kyungsung Metal Craft. Donna's work for Expansion shows her background as a jewelry artist. As such, we have no doubt of her skill with bronze and silver. What donna presented at the exhibition can be categorized as jewelry sculpture. Wave is composed of seven parts, connected using trasparent thread to convey a floating sensation. Wave is presented inside a black vitrine, with light effects illumintaing it from the bottom of the vitrine . Six parts of the Wave seem to highlight one particular part of this piece, one whose size seems to dominate the interior of the vitrine; as though making the latter part into the centerpiece of this particular work. The whole configuration of the Wave conveys an elegant and luxurious air.
