Abstract
The success of an educational institution depends not only on the operational processes, but also all aspects should be in balance, both financial and non financial. Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness which push toward the innovation needs to be well planned efforts and assured continuation. Therefore, it is important to organize an educational institution based on performance management to create accountability institutions to measure the performance management can use several approaches, one of them is the Balanced Scorecard, in order to determine the financial organization, employee and customer satisfaction, how the productivity goes, which is essential in achieving the objectives of the company / organization. Balanced Scorecard is a systematic tool to measure the performance, and as a strategic control tool. Balance scorecard leads to the expansion of perspective, not only on the financial aspect that tends to lead to negative behavior of the manager, but also to all aspects of internal and external company or organization. The results of the performance assessment studies in Yayasan Pendidikan Jaya based on the financial perspective, customer perspective, learning and growth, and internal business process perspective is in “Good” category.
