Abstract
Inclusive education is an education system that provides learning opportunities for all students without discrimination, including Children with Special Needs (ABK). Inclusive education aims to create a learning environment that accepts and supports each individual according to their abilities and needs. In implementing inclusive education, schools should not only provide educators or teachers, but also shadow teacher who are tasked with accompanying students in the learning process, providing special support, and working together with teachers. Universitas Pembangunan Jaya has implemented an internship program called Kerja Profesi (KP) as a platform for students to gain an overview of the world of work that is in accordance with the competencies of their study program. Interns carry out KP at the PKBM House of Knowledge which is one of the educational institutions that implements inclusive education. Interns in the shadow teacher division carry out their main duties as assistant teachers which include all work, namely accompanying students and teachers, conducting assessments, and conducting psychological tests. Intern are also responsible for additional tasks, namely creating psychoeducation in the form of webinars and training, and conducting counseling. The duration of the implementation of KP activities is carried out for four months with a minimum of 545 working hours or 91 days. There are several courses related to the process of activities in KP, including courses in Educational Psychology, Interviews and Observations, Counseling, Training, Psychodiagnostics, and Industrial Diagnostics. KP provides experience regarding the importance of the role of shadow teachers in supporting students, and improving competence as Psychology students.
