Abstract
Professional Work is carried out as a prerequisite forcompleting a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree at Pembangunan Jaya University. This Professional Work is a means to apply the academic knowledge that has been obtained during the lecture period in the Civil Engineering department. Practical work was carried out at the construction site of the Serpong-Balara Toll Road Section 1B. Practitioners are assigned to the Quality control division of the main contractor, PT Nusa Raya Cipta, with a special focus on the implementation of rigid pavement using Concrete paving Wirtgen tools. The role of the Quality control division is to ensure that the construction work is in accordance with the project design specifications and drawings that have been agreed upon by the project Owner and the consultant team. Practitioners as professional work students in the Quality control division are responsible for field work, specifically overseeing Quality control of rigid pavement construction on ramps and main roads of toll roads. The rigid pavement construction process using Wirtgen equipment includes several stages, including Marking & Stake Out, Dowel installation, concrete pouring, segment cutting, Joint Sealant application, and finishing. At each stage, thorough inspections were conducted to ensure that Quality standards were met and maintained throughout the project. This Professional Work serves as a link between academic learning and application in the world of work, thereby enhancing the practitioner's abilities and providing useful insights into the construction field. This experience reinforces the importance of Quality control in construction projects and prepares practitioners for a career in civil engineering in the future.
