Abstract
For three months, the intern doing internship at IDN Media, especially at IDN Times.com. The intern worked as a SEO Writer under the supervision and guidance of the Audience Development Division, SEO Team. During the Professional Internship, interns have the opportunity to apply their learning related to Online Journalism practice, such as conducting research, writing news articles, As a SEO Writer, the intern go trough three stages in articles writing: pre-writing, writing, post writing. It begins with conducting research and keyword research, gather sources, and references. In the writing stages, the interns compose news articles that will be edited and published by editors. In the post writing stages, the interns carry out on page SEO optimization and enrich the articles. The interns acquire various learnings, such as the critical thinking required for research, knowing and understanding the desires and needs of the online readers, mastering effective writing formats, grasping SEO techniques, and comprehending the intricacies of search engine algorithms. The interns realized that Online Journalism in the media industry is not solely about speed and novelty of information: data transparency in a news article is equally crucial. The interns become aware of the significance of SEO practices and their role in the online media industry, as they play a vital role in serving as an information conduit for the Indonesian public.
